In fact we will be installing new hardened rotors in this machine as part of the refurbishing that were going to be doing to this machine. This is a much better longer life rotor arrangement than came out in these machines when they were shipped new from the factory. In addition these will have the multi-stack cutters meaning that they will have 1.9, 1.8, as well as 1.7 knife seats available to put knives on. This way you can purchase someones used 2.0 knives and grind it down three more times using it first on the 1.9 then on the 1.8 rotor seats and finally on the 1.7 rotor seats. This way your knife life is extended by three times and if you’re able to purchase used 2.0 knives your cost savings will be tremendous. Note: In addition to this Chipper we also have one that has the 2.2, 2.1, and 2.0 rotor seats. So you could actually purchase a new 2.2 knife and grind and re-use it five more times so this would be getting you six total uses out of each knife. This 1992 machine has just been recently completely refurbished here in our shop and is ready to be put to work. This machine has all new bearings and seals and just had both main gears replaced and had new sides fabricated for the shredder box. This shredder is powered by (2) 75 H.P. electric motors and comes complete with a new in-feed conveyor and a new out-feed conveyor. This shredder currently has two hook 1 3/4” thick knives all the way down to 1” thick knives installed. The machine shredding chamber has a size of 28” wide X 50” long. The shredder has a tremendous amount of torque for a small shredder and it would work well for the shredding of many tuff application items. Other Tire Industry Equipment - Cracker mill, 32” Double Roll - T01103. This is one of the cleanest cracker mills that you will ever find. We can’t find the brand name of this machine anywhere on the machine. It is currently mounted on a heavy duty steel frame so that it can be easily moved from one spot to another unlike most of these machines which are very time consuming to move from one spot to another. This machine is powered by a new 300 H.P. 1750 rpm electric motor and is coupled to a very heavy duty gear box that has a ratio of 29 to 1. So the main shaft in the mill is running at 60 rpm and then it is driving the other shaft at 141 rpm so it has a 2.36 to 1 ratio. The rolls on this mill look like brand new and are 32” wide and have a diameter of around 24”. This machine came out of a shop where it was still being operated and it looks ready to be powered back up in your shop with minimal amount of work because of the way the machine is mounted on the steel frames. This machine comes with a new soft start and a reconditioned control panel. This machine would work ideally for taking ¾” size tire chips down to ¼” mulch at around 4,000-5,000 lbs per hour, or it would also produce a 10 mesh product at around 2,000-2,500 lbs per hour. Of course you would need some screw augers and a Rotex screen, magnets, and some aspiration equipment to put with this mill in order to achieve these results and of course these would be at additional costs.

This Columbus McKinnon Tire Shredder is the perfect machine for your high volume shredding needs. It is a two stage shredder with a high and low speed gear box so it will shred both passenger and semi-truck tires. This 2 stage CM shredder has gone through our shop and is in like new condition. The rotors have been built new out of 4140 hardened heat treated steel instead of the soft steel like these machines come out of the factory with. This will give your knife seat much more resistance to wear if and when a knife comes off. All the bolt holes have inserts in them to make it much easier to do maintenance on the machine if and when you strip the threads on a bolt hole. This shredder is set up as a multi stack machine, having knife seats that are 2.2, 2.1, and 2.0. Thus you can get three uses out of each knife on the machine by simply having them blanchard ground between each use. This is much more cost effective than purchasing a new knife each time. This powerful machine is run by a 250 hp electric motor that has just been rebuilt and will have a soft start to reduce the amps needed for start up. This Columbus McKinnon Shredder has been set up with an 4’ X 24’ Action Screen that has been rebuilt and has a new “ finger screen” deck installed. We are in the process of refurbishing this machine and it will soon be ready to be installed into your plant and producing 1” to 1/2” minus tire chips. This machine will have had the 300 H.P. electric motor rebuilt, the gear box rebuilt, and have had the rotor completely hard faced and all the knife seats rebuilt and we also had the rotor balanced to assure proper operation. We have installed new fly and bed knives and also installed new bearings on the rotor. We will have new screens installed to what ever size you request from 1”, ¾”, 5/8” or 1/2” in size. We have replaced many of the wear plates and put a new tilt cylinder on the hood. The machine will come with a 500 Amp disconnect and a soft start and all the controls. This is a very high production machine and it is the best machine on the market today used to remove up to 90-95% of the steel from your tires while reducing the 2” x 2” size tire chips down to ½” or less in size. These machines are the work horse of today’s tire processing industry and are built much more robust than most of their competition. You won’t find a nicer used machine on the market today!
