Tetra Pak and Combibloc, manufacturers of gabletop containers and aseptic packages, got together to form the Aseptic Packaging Council (APC), with the purpose of assisting and promoting the recycling of aseptic packages (drink boxes), as well as milk and juice cartons. Specifically, APC Florida assists in-state communities with the starting of new recycling programs or with improving their existing programs, making emphasis in promoting an appropriate and continuous education, and assisting with marketing of the collected material. One of the APC's goals is to increase the amount of material that is being recycled and the number of homes and community programs that participate in the recycling of milk & juice cartons and drink boxes in the state of Florida.
