RecycleNet ROCs – Recycling Offset Credits

Salt Lake City, Utah June 19, 2008, Paul Roszel Chairman of RecycleNet Corporation is pleased to introduce the Recycling Offset Credit (ROCs) program. This program provides a certified measurement system to recognize and reward companies for their recycling efforts. RecycleNet will issue/award Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) for each ton of material recycled by participants.

As a result of the increased awareness of climate change and global warming, more and more people have become concerned about greenhouse gas emissions and are developing strategies to reduce their carbon footprint. Many companies, individuals and institutions have implemented carbon neutral goals.

The Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) program is an effort to provide a universally recognized standard to measure and certify recycling efforts and to demonstrate the economic impact of the recycling industry. Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) may be used to calculate an equivalent offset of your carbon footprint.

RecycleNet Corporation invites any company, institution or organization to participate in the voluntary ROCs program by reporting materials recycled. There is no fee to participate and the program is open and applicable to anyone in all stages of the recycling/reverse distribution supply chain.

RecycleNet has launched the first stage of its My RecyceNet. My.recycle.net provides virtual office management tools for users of Recycler's World.

The first stage of my.recycle.net gives users a free message center and lead mangment tools. Launched in support of our Pay Per Lead System, my.recycle.net will assist users in finding qualified leads and being able to act on the leads more effectively.

AQSIQ Reminder from ISRI

Reminder: AQSIQ Renewal Applications Due September 30th
More than 3,000 licenses issued by AQSIQ to companies worldwide in 2004 are currently up for renewal and applications for renewal must be submitted by September 30th or the license will be lost upon expiration. It has been reported to ISRI that so far only 600 companies have submitted their renewal applications and of that group only 200 have so far been accepted. As ISRI has been reporting since June, it is absolutely critical that registered entities submit their renewal application between three and six months prior to the expiration of the original certificate or you will "automatically lose [your] eligibility for registration upon expiration of the term of their 'Registration Certificates.'" Copies of Notices 115-2003, 48-2004 and 103-2005 and other relevant documents are on the ISRI website at www.isri.org/trade/register/china (available to logged in ISRI members only). For password help, please visit www.isri.org/password.

According to the requirements under AQSIQ Notice No.115 (2005), renewal application can be filed electronically through AQSIQ's "Electronic Supervision System for lmported Scrap Materials"(http://scrap.eciq.cn). Written materials must be sent to AQSIQ within 15 days after the electronic application has been successfully filed. When filing the renewal application through the "electronic supervision system for imported scrap materials," the user name is the AQSIQ registration license number, the password is the AQSIQ license number followed by the last 4 characters of the registration application number (for the registration license before 2004) or the original password that the application has been using (for licenses after 2005).

Over the past month members of the RecycleNet team have attended a number of events. We have attended the state association conferences for Virginia State Recycling Association , the Washington State Recycling Association, and Missouri Recycling Association. We also attended several larger conferences including Waste Expo in Atlanta, BIR in Athens, Greece, CRRA (China's Resource Recycling Association) in Tianjin, China. Coming up in the next few weeks we will be attending IPMI a precious metals related conference in Miami, Florida. As well as the Recycling Today conference focused on Paper, Plastic, and Electronics, that will be held in Orlando, Florida.

RecycleNet recently participated in the joint Tennessee Recycling Coalition(TRC), and Southeast Recycling Development Council (SERDC) conference held in Nashville, Tennesee. With over 250 attendees the conference was a great success. This was an informative and entertaining show for all involved.

RecycleNet proudly holds a seat on both associations board of directors, and participated in the organization of this event. We would like to thank everyone who put so much effort into making this event a success from both the TRC and SERDC. To the exhibitors, speakers, organizers, and attendees we hope this was a great show for all, and we enjoyed participating at all levels.

RecycleNet In India

January 10-20 2007 Jamie Roszel from RecycleNet participated in the ISRI Trade Mission to India. While on the mission the participants learned of how India plans to expand their imports of ferrous and non-ferrous metals over the next five years, as well as the difficulties with infrastructure, legislation, and other competitive factors.

RecycleNet In China

Over the past two weeks Jamie Roszel from RecycleNet was attending several conferences, and participated in several tours of recycling facilities along the south east coast of China. Jamie attended the 6th International Secondary Metals Forum in Taizhou and visited with a number of existing and new users of Recycler's World.

Prior to and following the conference Jamie toured serveral metals recycling facilities along with a group from Globalscrap.com.

Following the conclusion of the globalscrap.com tour Jamie attended the World Recycling Forum in Shanghai.
