RecycleNet Corporation is pleased to
introduce the Recycling Offset Credit
(ROCs)
program. This program provides a certified measurement system to recognize and
reward
companies for their recycling efforts. RecycleNet will issue
Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) for each ton of material recycled by
participants.
The economic benefit and green impact of recycling is largely
understated and therefore is under-acknowledged. RecycleNet's ROCs program
will provide a certified, verifiable, and auditable measurement system to
demonstrate the benefit and economic impact of the recycling industry, and
companies who attempt to reduce waste and recycle more materials in an effort to
become carbon neutral.
RecycleNet's Recycling Offset Credit (ROCs) program will provide
reliable market data that may be used in the evolution of a stable, sustainable
environment. Today there is no generally accepted industry standard to
equate a ton of material recycled to the effect on your carbon footprint.
As the ROCs program evolves so will the science of understanding the effect of
recycling on our environment.
RecycleNet also offers a platform for companies to buy and sell
Recycling Offset Credits (ROCs) in order for companies to acquire a more carbon neutral
state and become more environmentally friendly.
The ability to trade ROCs provides a
potential new revenue stream for recyclers.
