he BP Amoco Chemicals Augusta Polymers Plant manufactures high performance polymers
and plastics used in a variety of automotive, medical and electronic applications demanding high temperature,
corrosive resistance or tight tolerances. Specifically, the products manufactured are Amodel® polyphthalamide and Amodel compounds,
Xydar® liquid crystal polymer and Xydar compounds, and sulfone monomer used in the production of Udel® polysulfone, Radel® A polyethersulfone
and Radel® R polyphenylsulfone at a sister plant in Marietta, Ohio.
