The material is Varisoft 472 80% that is surplus and slightly out of spec. It's used as a fabric softener and is a combination of a dimethyl dialkyl quat and an imidazolinium quat. Peroxide is 168 versus a spec of 200 - 300 ppm pH is 4.8 versus a spec of 5.0 - 7.5 The pH drift is pretty normal. As the peroxide degrades it neutralizes the alkalinity so it becomes slightly acidic. Adjusting the pH back up doesn't impact the functionality. Drums are open head, steel drums, 55 gallon nominal, 181 kg net weight per drum. Selling price, when it was active, was about $1.58 / lb. I have MSDS and an older technical data sheet. This is an old sheet with Degussa which is not really valid but it's the only one I've got. We have 11,000 KG in drums.
