This is used, changed-out catalyst which contained a wash-coating load of one-percent platinum as supplied. The beads are exposed to the manufactured materials and, over time, they become coated with traces of those materials which block-off the ability of the platinum to act upon the componants being processed therefore rendering them less reactive. At that time, the catalyst must be replaced with new catalyst which has more surface exposure facilitating the required reactive process. This material produces a very-high-yield of platinum recovery for the recycler.
