Comments on condition: This unit is presently in our shop, hooked up under power. We have used this unit for the last 10+ years for boring steel weldments, in our single shift plant. Typical usage was about 20 hours per week. The unit needs the clutches replaced. When heavy boring is required, the clutches slip. For best operating condition, clutches should be replaced and quill extension bearings should be replaced for best accuracy when quill is fully extended.
