BURNT TIRE WIRE.
The recovery of waste tires, through their combustion, produces a by-product named tire wire scrap or tire-derived steel (T.D.S.). Since the material is formed from thin wires (average diameter of 0,20 � 0,80mm), its surface can easily oxidize due to its morphology. A visual inspection, the scrap appears as a hank of a long wire. Still, no rubber and fibre contamination is detected since the furnace's temperature easily reaches 800 �C and all contaminants (rubber/fibre) are completely burned.
