ERLENBACH ADVD 150 EPS Pre-Expander.
The batch-type pre-expansion-unit EDVD 150 has a discontinuous operation with maximum operating pressure of 0.5 bar to 2.5 bar used for pre-expanding EPS bead foams. Additionally a pressure filling system for attainment of required bulk density in EPP beads is also available. Impregnated beads are transferred into the stainless-steel expansion-vessel using vacuum-suction-conveyor or a conveying screw. Steam enters into the expansion vessel and results in the expansion of impregnated beads. Under a constant-stirring motion the expanding bead reaches a certain level, governed by an electric-adjustable photo-electric proximity switch. The final density is determined by the amount of raw material or the level of expansion detected by the proximity-switch After a short pressure-release-cycle, the expanded beads are transferred into a fluidised-bed-dryer.
