Message :	I am just starting a used auto parts business. I am going to start out specializing in Subaru parts only. I filed with the state of VT as an LLC. My question is in relation to the liability of selling used auto parts. Seems every insurance company I contacted won't consider insuring a used auto parts business because of the liability concerns. I am wondering what everyone else in this industry does? I have a building I put up on my property that I will use for dismantling and storing the parts. My intent is to deliver most of these parts to garages, and ship them in the mail through internet sales. This will take care of needing any liability insurance for people coming on my property. My homeowners insurance will not support a business/store on the property. I am also thinking I will rent the building to the LLC, thus the assets that belong to the LLC will only be tools and inventory. If I rent the building to the LLC will this protect my home and property if the LLC is sued for liability of one of these parts and I do not have insurance? Just looking for any suggestions anyone might have.
