Details :	This special event brings together recycling, solid waste, compost, and sustainable materials management professionals every other year to learn and strategies ways to improve recycling and waste diversion within the state. The 2024 meeting will focus on circular economies and extended producer responsibility and how New Mexico can join other states in encouraging producers and manufacturers to share in the management of material throughout its entire lifecycle. Attendees will learn what communities in New Mexico are doing to encourage product stewardship and will collaborate to identify specific needs for our state. Eight continuing education units will be offered to attendees that can be applied towards their recertification with the New Mexico Environment Department: Solid Waste Bureau as certified recycling, compost, landfill or transfer station operators.
